Louisa Macdonell joined BITC from the SCVO (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations) Employability team and is Entrepreneur-in Residence at the University of Edinburgh Business School. She supports and mentors small business owners, especially those run by women and social enterprises. Louisa sits on the Board of Social Investment Scotland, the responsible finance provider, and the Strategic Board of Interface, the knowledge connection for business.
Louisa was the CEO of the Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS), the membership organisation for community-led businesses and was previously Head of Economic Development at the UK Government’s Scotland Office, delivering Borderlands, the UK’s first rural and only cross-border regional growth deal.

Deborah Garlick is the CEO of Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, founder of Henpicked.net and author of Menopause: the change for the better. Her team have been working with UK-wide and international organisations for over 7 years to make it easier for them to introduce the right training, policies and practices to raise awareness, education and support of this critical area.
In 2021, she supported the launch of Menopause Friendly Membership and accreditation. The membership is now supporting leading employers to achieve Menopause Friendly Accreditation. With over 300 members, and 35 who’ve actually achieved the award including HSBC UK, John Lewis and Leicestershire County Council.
On 22 September 2022 the industry-recognised Menopause Friendly Employer Awards took place to highlight and celebrate best practice, and to recognise those employers who are leading the way in supporting their colleagues. Also raising vital funds for menopause charities and research.

Rosie Tyler-Greig is Equality and Diversity Advisor at Healthcare Improvement Scotland, the organisation which works to promote the best quality of health and social care for everyone in Scotland. Rosie’s role is part of the Community Engagement Directorate and she works across the organisation to provide advice on equalities issues and support teams to ensure the right people and communities have a say in the work of HIS and NHS Scotland. Before joining the NHS in early 2020, Rosie worked in a range of policy, research and engagement roles within the third sector. She is driven by a passion for equality and rights and brings a combination of personal and academic experience to her work. Rosie is a disabled woman and member of the LGBT+ community; she has an MSc in Human Rights, a PhD in Politics and is a trustee of the Human Rights Consortium Scotland.

Jenny became Morton Fraser’s chair in 2021 and immediately set out to put in to place a vision for a more inclusive industry. She has worked with entrepreneurs, privately owned and private equity backed businesses throughout her
20 plus year career in tax. Susie specialises in all aspects of corporate and personal taxation for private
businesses and their owners/senior management. She is a qualified tax lawyer and joined PwC 14 years
ago following 5 years of experience in law firms in London and Edinburgh.
Susie’s clients include private business owners and their businesses across the full spectrum of business
sectors. Susie’s day job is to bring them tax services through their whole lifecycle. Susie also coordinates
the services provided to them (from consulting to deals and finance to investment) by the firm as a whole.

I received my dual Ph.D. in Political Science and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the Pennsylvania State University in August 2016. Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh, I taught at Newcastle University, Smith College, and Penn State.

Stephen’s experience over the past 31 years has always been exclusively with retail financial services clients. This included over 6 years in the South African firm where he worked with retail financial institutions, being based in both Johannesburg and KwaZulu Natal, where he was latterly a partner in the South African FIST team.
He is the Chair of the Deloitte UK Regulatory Board, a member of the Audit Governance Board, and has just rotated off as a member of the Deloitte NSE Board where he also chaired the Audit & Risk Committee. He has recently also been appointed to be the partner responsible for the UK Deloitte WorldClimate team.
Stephen’s experience has always been exclusively with retail financial services, including having been the external audit engagement partner on a number of listed businesses including Lloyds Retail Bank, and recently was the Reporting accountant for what was at the time the largest SPAC transaction listing in the NYSE
