The independent working group on antisocial behaviour’s report is due to be published at the end of this year. With ambitions to develop a holistic, long-term, and preventative approach to tackling antisocial behaviour (ASB), now is the time to refresh how we address ASB across Scotland.
Holyrood Insight’s popular Preventing and Tackling Antisocial Behaviour in Scotland conference returns next February to discuss the next steps to reduce ASB across the country. Join us to hear directly from the co-chairs of the independent working group on the findings of their report. Keep up to date with the next steps for tackling the root causes of ASB.
Collaboration between key partners is crucial to tackling antisocial behaviour efficiently. Bringing together colleagues from housing, policing, local authorities and the third sector, learn how to develop a shared definition of ASB and a joined-up response to reducing ASB rates. Understand what powers are available to you and the range of legal and non-legal remedies that can be used to tackle ASB.
Clarifying how and when to report ASB and learning from those who have implemented effective reporting systems will help you to improve support for victims and build trust in your communities. Develop an effective approach to community engagement and ensure your community feels empowered and safe.
It is vital that all key partners feel equipped to support victims of antisocial behaviour. We will spotlight how to adopt a trauma-informed approach to support and meaningfully involve victims during the resolution process. Make sure victims feel like they will be supported and listened to when reporting ASB.
What is the link between socio-economic deprivation and antisocial behaviour? Gain expert insights into the root causes of anti-social behaviour and learn how to implement targeted initiatives to support those at risk. Understand how to address the causes of ASB instead of the symptoms.
With case studies from leading organisations, hear what works when tackling ASB. Expert speakers will share practical advice on how to manage your resources efficiently to tackle antisocial behaviour.
Bringing together colleagues from across Scotland, don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn, network and share ideas. Strengthen your approach to preventing and tackling ASB.
