Courses run on Zoom. Make sure you have the latest version downloaded before the day. If you need help joining a Zoom meeting, Zoom’s own guide is useful.
Join the Zoom call 5–10 minutes early. You’ll be held in a waiting room until the course starts.
Yes, throughout the day we will have smaller breakout rooms where you will have the opportunity to network with other course attendees. Please set your display name to your full name when you join us on Zoom, so the trainer and the other attendees know who you are.
You don’t need to have the app installed. You can join directly through your web browser. Click the joining link and select ‘Join from your browser’ when prompted. No download required, and it works on most modern browsers.
If the browser version doesn’t work either, try downloading the Zoom app on your personal phone or device. Still having trouble? Email [email protected] before the course and we’ll help.

If things are lagging, try turning off your camera and removing any virtual background — that usually helps. Closing other tabs and apps can make a difference too. We recommend a minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps; you can check yours at speedtest.net. If you’re working from home and still struggling, restarting your router is worth a try. Email [email protected] if you need further help.
